Who makes Can We Talks

Can We Talks is written, edited and run by one person — Edina Nemeth, writing from Osijek, Croatia. There is no editorial team hiding behind the narrator voice: the “we” you read on this site is a stylistic choice, not a staff list.

Research and first drafts lean on a mix of tools, including AI. Nothing goes live until Edina has read it, checked it and rewritten what needed rewriting. If a guide is wrong, that’s on her — and she would rather hear about it than not. The contact page is always open.

How we choose what to cover

Every topic starts with the same question: would we send this to a friend? We plan seasonally (fall wardrobes in August, Thanksgiving tables in September), we look at what people are actually searching for, and we skip trends that look good in a photo and fall apart on a Tuesday.

Each guide is meant to leave you with something you can use: a timing, a price range, a checklist, or an honest “skip this one.” Opinion, recommendation and fact are kept visibly separate — when we’re guessing, we say so.

Facts, sources and updates

When a guide makes a claim you could check — how long a gel manicure really lasts, what dermatologists say about an ingredient, what a destination costs in shoulder season — we link to the source. Prices and timings are accurate at the time of writing and are quoted in US dollars and Fahrenheit for our mostly US readership; they can and do change.

When a story needs updating, we update it and show the date at the top of the article. Spot an error? Tell us and we’ll fix it — quietly if it’s a typo, with a note if it changes the advice.

Affiliate links

As of this update, Can We Talks does not run affiliate links in its articles. We plan to join affiliate programs (such as Awin and Amazon Associates) in the future. When that happens, three things will be true:

  • Affiliate links will be disclosed on the page they appear on, before you reach them.
  • A commission will never change what we recommend, which product ranks where, or whether we say “skip it.”
  • We’ll only link to things we’d tell a friend about — and we’ll say whether we’ve tried them ourselves.

Our own shop

The printables in the CanWeTalks shop on Etsy are designed by Edina. When an article mentions one, that is us recommending our own product — we’ll always say so plainly, and the guide has to be useful whether or not you buy anything.

Sponsored content and gifts

We have not published sponsored content, and we don’t accept payment for coverage. If that ever changes, sponsored articles will be clearly labeled at the top. Gifted products, if we ever accept any, will be disclosed in the article they appear in.

Photography

Most photos on Can We Talks come from Pexels and Unsplash and are used under their licenses; photographers are credited by name at the end of each article. Pins and graphics are our own.
